Tony Lentini, President

Tony Lentini has more than 30 years of public affairs experience working with some of America’s largest, most successful companies.  His background includes corporate communications; public relations; marketing and employee communications; government, media and international relations; print/video/audio/Web-content writing and production; advertising; and organizing, managing and publicizing political campaigns.

Tony most recently served for a dozen years as Vice President of Public & International Affairs for Apache Corporation, where his proactive communications programs positioned the company as one of the best-known independent oil and gas companies on Wall Street and in the national and international news media.

During hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Tony served as the industry’s principal spokesperson on the impact of the storms and subsequent recovery efforts, appearing live on Fox with Greta Van Susteren and Neil Cavuto, on network evening news and internationally in a range of media.  While at Apache, he spearheaded a program that helped expose corruption at Enron and among other companies in the energy trading business.

Previously, Tony served as Vice President of Public Affairs for Mitchell Energy & Development Corp., where he developed the company’s first crisis management program and media-trained more than 1,500 employees and senior managers; Director of External Affairs for Holiday Corporation, the world’s largest hospitality company (then-parent of Holiday Inn, Harrah’s Casinos, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn and Homewood Suites—a brand Tony named and personally launched); Middle South Utilities (now Entergy), where he developed and implemented a grass-roots education program that preserved the company’s nuclear power plant building program after Three Mile Island; and as a Public Affairs and Information Officer for the U.S. Army in Colorado and Germany.

Tony is a 1971 West Point graduate, with a bachelor of sciences degree in engineering and the equivalent of a second major in Spanish/Latin American studies.  He was honorably discharged as a Captain.  Tony resides in Houston and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Sheltering Arms Senior Services (Executive Committee and Chair of the Business Development & Marketing Committee).  He is fluent in Spanish and conversant in German.
